What to Expect at Your First Visit

Your first visit is designed to be thorough, thoughtful, and focused on understanding your unique headache history. Many patients who come to Pennsylvania Headache Center have tried multiple treatments without success. This visit is different.

A Different Kind of Medical Visit

  • You will meet directly with Dr. Peterlin for your entire visit

  • Appointments are typically 75–90 minutes

  • The focus is on careful listening, detailed history, and individualized care

  • No rushed timelines or fragmented care

This approach allows for a deeper understanding of complex or long-standing headache conditions.

What We Will Cover

During your visit, we will:

  • Review your full headache and medical history

  • Discuss prior treatments and responses

  • Identify patterns, triggers, and contributing factors

  • Develop a personalized diagnostic and treatment plan

This practice is best suited for patients who:

  • Have ongoing or complex headache or migraine conditions

  • Have not found relief with standard approaches

Fees and Insurance

Pennsylvania Headache Center operates outside of traditional insurance networks.

  • Many patients receive partial reimbursement depending on their out-of-network benefits

  • Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and similar plans can often be used

We are happy to provide guidance to help you understand this process.
